About NewGenLib high level and specific design docs

michaeldy
Dear NewGenLib Developers,

I am a junior developer and looking for high level and specific design docs for NewGenLib. I searched on internet but haven't found them, except for several very brief introductions( http://code.google.com/p/newgenlibdocs/w/list) as well as the user manual. Are there any docs that contain the class diagram, state diagram, sequence diagram, etc.?
A related question is that there are multiple directories for the source code (http://newgenlib.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/newgenlib/
), and the directory names do not correspond to the module names. So I do not know which to begin with if I want to learn about the Circulation module.
It is very important to get an overall understanding of the project before one can dive into its source code. Any suggestions or posts would be appreciated. Thanks very much!

Best regards.
michael.

Dear Michael,
I think except the developer none has explored NewGenLib in that much detail. The following book of of Dr. Haravu may help you to understand process sequence.

Haravu, L J. (2004), Library Automation: Design, Principles and Practice, Allied Publishers, New Delhi.

Some technological overview, you may get from

Giri,Rabishankar(2012),"NewGenLib 3: An Integrated Open Source Library Management System that Makes your Library Visible in Web", Library Hi Tech News, Vol. 29 Iss: 10, pp 4- 12.

If you want process sequence of any specific module, I can help you.

Thanks & regards,
R S Giri
