I installed Vufind. Here is the OPAC: http://sdm.ac.in/vufind Some fields don't load. It shows up "Loading". Also I cannot view individual items, it just shows up a blank age.
I have installed php5-pgsql module. Also placed NewGenLib driver and NewGenLib.in files at the right place. Importing MARC data went on well also.
I somehow got it working. The links from the vufind NGL integration pdf were pointing to an old version of the driver. I downloaded the NewGenLib.php file from vufind sourceforge repo and it worked.
It looks like whenever new items are added to Newgenlib database, data should be exported and imported to Vufind manually. Is there any way to auto update Vufind index? The Newgenlib MARC export tool has a GUI, so it cannot be made to work with cron jobs. If it was a commandline tool, then exporting importing data could have been automated with cron jobs.
