Authentication in local database Login ID

In 3.04R1U3 a new above mentioned parameter has been introduced. I would like to know what is its function and how is it be used?

NGL in its latest updates has added support for remote authentication of users through LDAP.
Earlier through OPAC any user who is logging in will be authenticated through LDAP only provided the library chooses for LDAP login.

In the latest update, while creating users you may choose a few users to login via LDAP and a few through local NGL database authentication. For those users for whom local database authentication is necessary, you need to select that check box. It is selected by default
