Please note that its case sensitive
http://localhost:8080/newgenlibctxt/LaunchApplication

You have used launchapplication (l...and .....a are small letters. Whereas you must use capital letters...LaunchApplication)

Re: Can't LaunchApplication

EasyBon
Installed NGL the first time on WinXP and was able to run successfully up to the point:

http://localhost:8080/newgenlibctxt

However, when I tried to launch: http://localhost:8080/newgenlibctxt/LaunchApplication (case sensitive), Firefox ask me to save or open the JNLP LaunchApplication.

How to troubleshoot it?

Re: Can't LaunchApplication

1. Save the jnlp file (This usually happens with FireFox and Chrome)

2. Open the file with C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_XX/jre/bin/javaws.exe

Re: Can't LaunchApplication

1. Is there a firewall blocking Java.exe? Please check
2. Also try opening the jnlp file with C:/Program Files/Java/jre1.6.0_XX/bin/javaws.exe

If none of the above steps worked
1. Restart the system
2. Start NGL Server
3. LaunchApplication again using IE

Please send the Java version being used.
