Dear all,
I have a website and I want to have a menu called Library, I want to import the library in to the site. Is anyone know how to customize it? Waiting for your help. |
Hi,
1. Are you using NGL Open Source for your library? 2. If yes, then your library server running NGL Open Source must have a public/static IP given by your ISV Can you also specify the OPAC application that you are running on your web site? Hi,
of course, I'm using NGL Open Source for my library. Now, I'm running it on my local host only and I'm looking for a hosting that work well with this library. It would be great if you know some hosting to recommend me. To be honest, I don't know what the OPCA application is. Can you tell me what is that. I'm sorry, I'm a new web designer and I don't know much about technical word. But I willing to learn the new thing. Thanks, |
Respected Patron,
Thank you for the clarification. 1. Your NGL Server is a Web application. This web application is accessed through <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://">http://<ip address of the server>:8080/newgenlibctxt. This is nothing but your OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) 2. But your OPAC might be functional only with in your LAN (Local Area Network) 3. Your intention is to make your Catalogue accessible by everyone across the globe. Hence one way is to get a Static IP/Public IP for your NGL Server. The Static IP/Public IP is provided by your ISV (Internet Service Provider) On 09/11/2012 09:27 AM, Saren [via NewGenLib] wrote: Hi, -- Regards NewGenLib Open Source Support Team
