Hello,Dear experts: I have a exported MARC data from another library system (such as Koha). I don't need import all the data to NGL. I should choose some of them to use in NGL. How can I use that MARC data easily? Thanks a lot.

Respected Patron,
1. Currently system supports a batch import of all records in the selected MARC file 2. Is it possible to selectively export the desired records from the old library system? 3. Can you explain the situation/reason behind selective import? This may help us in customizing the import tool better Regards NGL Open Source Support Team On 08/27/2013 01:19 PM, peterzhaonj [via NewGenLib] wrote: Hello,Dear experts: I have a exported MARC data from another library system (such as Koha). Dear Experts, Thank you reply my message so quickly. We want to use another library's Marc data, sometimes they exported their data for us to use, but we need to select some from that Marc data. Koha has that function, Koha can Stage MARC records into the reservoir, and then select some to use. If NGL has that function, it would be very easy to use the other library's exported Marc data.

Respected Patron,
Thank you for suggesting this feature. Can we know how records usually come in a MARC file? We will be happy to incorporate this feature in our coming versions Regards NGL Open Source Team On 08/27/2013 07:59 PM, peterzhaonj [via NewGenLib] wrote: Dear Experts, Thank you reply my message so quickly. NGL Expert Team: Thanks you take this into account. Most of the MARC file from the other library are ISO 2709 MARC format. Some are mrc MARC format.
