Dear All,
NewGenLib is really good for me, but the only thing is it doesn't support Khmer Unicode. Do you know how to do it ? Appreciate any help from all, Best Regard, - Saren |
Respected Saren,
Please follow the below steps from Khmer Support 1. Download and install Khmer Unicode installer from http://www.khmeros.i nfo/download/installer-windows.php . Please follow the installation steps provided in KhmerOS site. 2. Download the attached fontconfig.properties 3. There will a lib directory in the jre folder (Usually is available in C:/Program Files/Java/jre...). In this lib directory paste the fontconfig.properties file downloaded in step 3. 4. Close the librarian interface and open it again 5. The client will support Khmer 6. Please repeat the steps on all librarian clients for Khmer support. However for Web OPAC (User system) if any Khmer Unicode Font is installed then they can see the Khmer characters without any problem CDRI in Phnom Penh is using the NGL with Khmer. This is FYI Regards NGL Open Source Support Team On 09/27/2012 02:26 PM, Saren [via NewGenLib] wrote: Dear All, -- Regards NewGenLib Open Source Support Team fontconfig.properties (8K) Download Attachment

Hi, I followed the instruction mentioned a bow but I still got the problem with search catalog and search by main author and join author in book template. The problem is it doesn't show Khmer character in the search boxes.

Please place the fontconfig.properties
in the following locations
C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_XX/jre/lib directory and C:/Program Files/Java/jre1.6.0_XX/lib directory Please note that if there are multiple directories of jdk1.6.0_XX or jre1.6.0_XX then place the fontconfig.properties in all the jdks and jres as mentioned in above structure of folders On 01/08/2013 08:16 AM, Vibol [via NewGenLib] wrote: Hi, I followed the instruction mentioned a bow but I still got the problem with search catalog and search by main author and join author in book template. It is already installed. Actually, there are 3 librarian clients are using that system but two of them are getting this problem discussed a bow and another one is fine. I just wonder what is the matter causes the problem while those computers are installed in the same way.

In one of the systems in which it is
not working.
In the Fonts folder (Windows Control Panel -> Fonts), see if there is a Font "Arial MS Unicode". Please remove/delete that font and check again On 01/09/2013 11:38 AM, Vibol [via NewGenLib] wrote: It is already installed.
