Sending overdue notification/ circulation transaction through GMAIl to the Patron

Dear NGL Team,
I have installed Newgenlib EOD process properly. I launched the EOD and logged on. The message is that your mail server is not connected properly. So you cannot send any mails through this application.

Our library server is in the LAN, having only IP address (DHCP), with out proper configuration. i.e, no domain name.

 I have configured the C:/NewGenLibFiles/SystemFiles as follows. But it is not working.
Please instruct what are the steps to be taken to send reminders, etc throgh Gmail.

#mail.properties file. Localtion must be in C:/NewGenLibFiles/SystemFiles directory.
#In Linux /usr/NewGenLibFiles/SystemFiles directory.
#To set a property remove hash symbol at the beginning of the line.

#If the below property is set as true, emails are sent immediately. Or else emails will be sent only at the end-of-the-day
send.email.online=true

#By default do you want every email to be copied to an email. If yes, set an email id below. If you want multiple emails to be set use comma(,) as delimiter
#default.cc=[e-mail],[e-mail]
default.cc=[e-mail]

#By default do you want every email to be blank copied to an email. If yes, set an email id below. If you want multiple emails to be set use comma(,) as delimiter
#default.cc=[e-mail],[e-mail]

#SMTP Server host or IP Address. By default a gmail is set. If you have a different SMTP email server, set its value
host=smtp.gmail.com

#SMTP Server Port. Change its value accordingly. By default google mail's server is set.

#Your username. Username that is used to login into mail server.
username=[e-mail]

#A from name that is used to display
from=IGIT Library

#Your password
password=xxxxxxx
#if debug is true you can see the progress of email being sent. We recommend to put it true initially.
#This can be turned down to false.

Login into your Gmail Account. In your Gmail settings enable POP3 and IMAP. Save settings and try again.
