The requirements to update NGL V2.3 to V3.X

Could you please tell me what new features in NGL V3.X that V2.X does not have?
What the things I need to download to update my NGL V2.3.2?

After, configure and install as your document.
Then, I start RUN RunNGL3Server in apache-tomcat-6.0.32\bin

It can tell me that the server is well running.
But When I start run OPAC in the browser (http://locahost:8080/newgenlictxt)

It tell me an Error as follow:
                                     HTTP Status 404 - /newgenlibctxt
                                     type Status report
                                     message /newgenlibctxt
                                     description The requested resource (/newgenlibctxt) is not available.
                                     ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                     Apache Tomcat/6.0.32

Moreover, with apache-tomcat-6.0.32 server testing I did by browse http://locahost:8080
and see that server is running.

Hence, could you tell me about this issue, please?

Make sure that Postgres is running as a service. Also, see here for instructions for possible troubleshooting...

It is stand still got an error even I seen Postgres service is running.

I did follow it.
Note: With this installation I install in on new PC.

Wait, I thought you are already running NGL 2.3? Why don't you upgrade first your 2.3 to 3.0, and then make sure it works, and then save the backup, and then install a 3.0 to a new computer, and then restore the backup to the new installation?

The reason is now I am doing it in Testing environment.
So can you tell me still I need to uses jboss even the update requires tomcat, in the production environment?
And with this new configuration where can I put desktop directory in server?
because I am already run http://localhost:8080/desktop/Launch but it is not available.

The new installation does not use JBoss any more. Apache Tomcat 6.0.32 is used as server.
With the installation of NewGenLib 3.0.3 you also get reports as part of the installation

because I got an Error when I do a browse http://localhost:8080/desktop/Launch as follow:

In NGL3/apache-tomcat-6.0.32/webapps you must find a directory called desktop (Similar to desktop.war file in jboss). This desktop directory will contain all necessary files of NewGenLib Desktop

In InstallNGL3.0 directory you will find a file named desktop.tar.gz. Extract it into the NGL3/apache-tomcat-6.0.32/webapps directory
