I HAVE UPGRADATION PROCESS WHICH IS GIVEN FROM " www.verussolutions.biz/" BUT SOME DOUBTS ARE THERE IN THE PROCESS OF UP GRADATION 1) DELEATE JAVA OLD OR NOT ? 2) DELETE OLD NGL VERSION IN C DRIVE ? 3) MY POSTGRESQL IS 8.0 , HOW CAN IT CONVERT IN TO 8.3? 4) WHICH YOU ARE GIVENUPGRADE PROCESS THAT IS NOT FULL/ PERFECT TO UNDERSTAND PLEASE SIR HELP ME IF I WANT TO UPGRADE 2.5 TO 3.X.X IS IT UNINSTALL TOTAL OLD VERSION OR NOT ? THANKING U SIR |
1. You need not delete the old version
of Java. Once you install Java 6, it is used by default over 1.4
2. You may delete it or leave it. Since you will not be running it, it wont effect your running 3. Since your postgresql 8.0 is running fine we recommend to leave it as it is. However if you want to migrate to version 8.3 then take newgenlib database backup from 8.0. Uninstall 8.0. Install 8.3. Restore the backed up data into 8.3 4. Please let us know which points are not clear so that we will upgrade the kb page to make it more clear Regards NGL Open Source Team On 5/15/2013 3:33 PM, ravinderreddyn [via NewGenLib] wrote: RESPECTED SIR ,

Open Windows Control
Panel->Administrative Tools -> Services
Start Windows Secondary Logon Services Do the Postgresql installation again. Now you will not face a problem Extract InstallNGL3.0 directly in C: drive. In that case you do not have to change anything. Just click on Install.bat On 5/15/2013 5:25 PM, isah [via NewGenLib] wrote: hello
