Dear NGL Team,
I got an error of Unable to Launch Application when I go to http://localhost:8080/newgenlibctxt/LaunchApplication. The OPAC working fine. Here is the screenshot. Best regards, SAREN |
t's the same error I got.
I installed version of Java 7 update 51, have this error. I reinstalled with version 6 and he's letting me start the Java applet even if it's not signed. This way it works but it's not a security best practice because will open doors to potential malicious software. I wrote to the support yesterday to understand what to do, I do not want to proceed with this setting. We are in an evaluation phase of this software and others as well (Koha, Evergreen). |
I have removed Java 7 and reinstall java 6 as you told be it shown the critical error message.
Bellow is my error screenshot How to solve this problem? Best regards, SAREN |
Respected Patron,
Greetings from NGL Open Source 1. Kindly check if the OPAC is running 2. Check the LAN connectivity between server and client 3. If you are running NGL Librarian interface on the same system, then please check if you have keyed-in the Server Ip (localhost) correctly when you are prompted to enter Server Ip and Port Looking forward to serve you. I am facing the same problem. I got the download of NGL3.1.
|
In NGL3.1 LaunchApplication will not work.
You can find out NGLApps folder in InstallNGL3.1 directory. In that NGLApps folder you can find NGLClient.zip NGLDesktop.zip NGLWorkBench.zip NGLAutoEOD.zip and more files Please extract NGLClient.zip file in C:/ drive and run NGLClient.bat file Then the application will work Note: Server must be on when you are trying to run NGLClient |
