open catalog and WepOpac

Dear All,
Greetings,
I need to ask about the feature in create catalog record screen (quick import from open catalog &ISBN search open catalog), what it used for and how?
Also How I can customize my WebOpac to appear books and resources in the home page (Do u have manual or video to explain this)
