problems starting WebOPAC

Hello,

I have installed the lastest NGL package on Windows 7 and everything is Ok upto the point of starting the NGL3 server. I get a message displaying the time taken to start the server etc.

Then when i try to open http://localhost:8080/newgenlibctxt, something seems to happen in the server command prompt but nothing is displayed in the browser. If I point to the browser tab header it displays some message.



Please advice.

The installation of the system does not look complete. The main reason seems to be incorrect database parameters.

Kindly re-check your config.ini and re-install the system

Hi,

OK. I can recall that I was confused with setting one parameter in config.ini during the installation.

restore.database=blank and restore.database=original are both listed in the the .ini file and the description at http://www.verussolutions.biz/kb/installationNew says we should use either of them. So I deleted restore.database=original and only kept restore.database=blank. Is this OK for a completely new installation? Please advice.
