Okay, my actual example is:  
English language learning and technology : lectures on applied linguistics in the age of information and communication technology / Carol A. Chapelle.

A query of...
"chapelle learning technology" - gives no results
"carol language" - gives no results
"lectures chapelle" - gives no results
"chapelle english language" or just "chapelle english" - gives no results
"english language technology" or "english learning technology" - gives no results

[this is without the quotes, of course]

although a free text search of "chapelle" gives a positive match, also "applied linguistics" [but not "linguistics applied"], "information communication" [but not "communication information"], "learning language" & "language learning" are also positive in giving a hit.
