Open ENV_VAR.txt which is present in C:/NewGenLibFiles/SystemFiles. Open it with Wordpad
In this you will find a key called DEFAULT_SEARCH
put is value as basic. This means that line must look like this

DEFAULT_SEARCH=basic

Other accepted values are
advanced, expert, freeText
If you give any other value other than the above, by default freeText is considered
