Hi,
I think the issue is now clear to us
1. You set default search as free text
2. When user opens up the OPAC, as desired free text opens
3. But user chooses to use basic search
4. The system must have basic search as default and NOT free text. This must happen till the user session expires

If this is correct, we will register the issue and fix this issue

The line in my ENV_VAR is:
DEFAULT_SEARCH=freeText

and I am using Chrome. Unfortunately, the installation is not yet hosted on the Internet, as we are waiting for the new server computer to be configured.
