Hi, Your database needs maintenance. Please follow the below steps
1. Close all the programs
2. Open Programs -> Postgresql -> Pgadmin III
3. Connect to the server in your Pgamdin.
4. Under databases you will find the newgenlib database
5. Select newgenlib database, right click and click on "Maintenance". This will open up the maintenance dialog
6. By default "vacuum" option is selected. Leave it as it is. Below vacuum you will find an option "full" this needs to be selected. Below this there will be an option "Analyze" which is also selected by default. Leave it as it is. Now click on "Ok".
7. This will start the maintenance process. This will take a few minutes. And let it complete.
8. Restart the Computer
9. Now start Apache Tomcat Server and Run NewGenLib. This process must speed up your system

1. NGL carbon takes too long to open. 1 minute for "Server details", 30 seconds for "log on screen" and another 30 seconds for "NGL Carbon (Librarian Interface)" to open.

2. My PC slows down when NGL Carbon is open.

Is there a solution for this?
