We would recommend to download JDK from
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk-6u32-downloads-1594644.html

Download jdk-6u32-linux-i586.bin

And execute the above bin file by putting it in your home directory

then, jdk is installed in home directory
Set JAVA_HOME as /home/<home name>/jdk1.6.0_32
