How to delete patrons category permanently

I have configured the Patron category and enter patrons name with all the details. Further, due to some reason I want to delete the category from the database, but I am not able to do this. Even if I delete all the patrons belongs to the same category, then also I got the same problem. Please guide me how to delete patron category parmently.
