We regret to bring to your notice that NewGenLib free SMS service is put on hold in India. NewGenLib Open Source was using "Transactional SMS" service purchased from Bulk SMS service provider. Unfortunately, TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has increased the cost of SMS. Bulk SMS service providers have increased their cost by 500%.

Since transactional SMS service provide a great help to the Indian public unlike marketing SMSs, we strongly believe that TRAI will bring down the costs of the transactional SMS. We are also looking into other possibilities of reviving this SMS service.

If you would like to integrate your own bulk SMS provider's SMS Internet gateway then you can do it. You can place the URL in SMS_URL file in C:/NewGenLibFiles/SystemFiles directory. NewGenLib Open Source Support Team will be happy to help you in this regard.

We regret for the inconvenience caused. We will keep you updated with any news regarding the SMS service.
