unable to restore the back up

Sir,
I Hemavathi working as librarian in GOODWILL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE FOR WOMEN Bangalore was earlier using New gentib but then system crashed But I have backup.for personnel support i will contact later.
The problem is I am not  been able to open PGDM to restore the backup.
In my system some old supporting files are there may be is that the problem ? So please suggest me to overcome the problem.                                                                                  thanking you

Since you have taken a backup of database already you are on a safe side

I would suggest you to do following steps.
1. Install NewGenLib
2. Send us the backup to [e-mail]. We will examine the backup, if necessary convert into sql files
3. We will send you the procedures for installation of the backup

sir cant i go to postgreSQL-connect to database and restore the backup please do reply
