How to set Due Period/backup everyday

techxlnc
Hi
Thanks, I successfully restored database. New to newgenlib so facing some problems
1. want to set due date for 15 days, after that per day Rs 1 fine.
I tried in Circulation Privilege Matrix-New-General Tab
In days-loan period(days) - entered -15
Then what to enter in
Loan Limit(number) ---
Renewal Limit (Times) ---
Ceiling of Overdue --
=====
Overdue charges Tab
what to enter in from - to - overdue -----Please help?
---
2. Phone-I or Phone-II where to enter mobile no? to get alert if I take SMS subscription?
Forum said it was in Phone-II?
3. Is there any way to take every day backup for all check out/in, Patrons List, Course List, Photo attachments?

Thanks,
Srikar

In reply to this post by techxlnc
1. Loan Period: 15 (means 15 days)
Now go to Overdues and define: "From:" 1 "To:" 0 "Overdue:" 1. This means from day 1(After Loan Period) till the user returns the book back, per day 1Re will be fined
Loan limit: Number of books the patron can check out
Renewal limit: Number of times the patron can renew
Ceiling of overdue: Suppose if you define it as 150, it means that Overdue per item will be a maximum of 150 and above that the system will not calculate. Leave it at 0, if its undefined
Kindly go through the tutorial at http://www.verussolutions.biz/kb/cpm

2. Phone II is meant to enter Mobile number to receive SMS. Kindly email organization details to support<attherate>verussolutions.biz for which subscription id is required. Please note that Subscriptions are given only for libraries

3. Currently you need to take a manual backup.
1. Backup of Postgresql database
2. Backup of NewGenLibFiles in C: Drive
Currently we are developing a Auto BAckup in NGL Auto EOD. This must be available early next month

Thanks for the reply
I observed books renewal problem means--"when I am doing renewal I go to Check in 2 books and back to check out then same 2 books I have to check out"
this takes time, any auto renewal or is there any way?

Thanks

For free SMS alerts (Works in India only), you must your organization details to support<attherate>verussolutions.biz
Verus Subscription Id is available only for libraries.
Once the subscription details are set then your free SMS service will work
Note: Send organization details only to support<attherate>verussolutions.biz and not to forums

Sir,
1. See if SMS_URL file is there in C:/NewGenLibFiles/SystemFiles directory. If yes, delete it
2. Make sure that yours Verus Subsciption Id and Code are entered in ENV_VAR.txt. Send  this file to support<attherate>verussolutions.biz. So that we can validate it
3. AFter making any changes, close NGL Server and start again
4. Make sure that NGL Server is connected to Internet. Confirm if you are using a Proxy server to connect to Internet.
5. Also as you already mentioned that in Phone II, you have entered mobile number(mobile number must be 10 digit with out any country code and any spaces)
6. At time of CHeck out and Check in the Messages must be sent
